Opera 51: Settings for handling tabs and windows are not availiable?

Finally giving up after trying to find a solution for days... Hope you guys can help me!<3
PROBLEM:
I'm having an issue where links from "outside" of Opera (for example links sent in emails in Outlook) are opened in a new window and not as a new tab in an existing browser window.ANNOYANCES:
I lose my previous browsersession with my opened tabs and have to open these manually again because a new session is being started (I know about the "Open a specific page or set of pages Set pages", but this is not relevant for my use), if I don't remember to open Opera before I click on links... Or if I'm annoyed enough, I'll copy the URL in the new window and open a new tab in my existing Opera window...SOLUTION ATTEMPTS:
I cannot find any settings for changing this in the settings menu, neither in the advanced settings or when searching for specific settings
There are simply no settings for handling windows or tabs in Opera 51?
I've Googled alot and also searched within Opera Forums and cannot find someone else with this problem.Using latest version of Opera (51.0.2830.55) on a Lenovo Thinkpad W530 with Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit (just had a clean install).
