Remembering Password for Basic Auth Sites

Hello,
I am having issues remembering passwords for Basic Auth sites. Specifically some internal sites that I use for work. Theres a little pop up at the top of the screen for login info but Opera doesn't prompt to remember them. Other browsers like Firefox are capable of remembering these passwords. I did some searching and found this post but the information is out of date, and there was no clear solution ever found within Opera.
Anything new? Should I be submitting a bug report? What should I try, and do you need more information?
