What if you right-click the sidebar and uncheck "WhatsApp" and "Facebook Messenger". Sometimes those can remain active if you've messed with those before. Try uncheck some of the others as well.

You can try testing with no speed dials (there's also an advanced "hide speed dial" option in settings).

Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "Standalone installation" and install. Test with that Opera just to see if there's any difference.

i will wait few more days and then i will have to uninstall opera for good
