So, such options may be kinda useless.

Doesn't Opera now just follow the file type associations set in the operating system?

also get back the file-types association advanced option too.

I would say that the chances of it happening, at least in near future, is near zero.

Some other users confirm that there's a problem with Opera not dealing correctly with not only magnets, but any other protocol handlers, and that the developers are aware of this.

So let's hope it gets solved soon, and that we also get back the file-types association advanced option too.

I don't really know when it dissapeared, all I'm saying is that it's a questionable decision to let this capability out of the advanced options group, as it was before.

Look, I get this is a free software and I'm very happy with Opera, I think it's a fantastic browser, but not letting the user set their own file-type associations sounds a little bit absurd to me. And I'd like this decision to be reconsidered.

Besides, there's a problem in the way that opera handles certain file types or links, like magnet links... Is there any workarround, at least?

So, you are confirming that this option has been purposelly removed from the latest Opera versions...

Any idea why? I think that this is a much needed option, specially if the preconfigured file-type associations are not working as supposed.

I see no means to edit the MIME settings...

Also, every time I click on a magnet link I get a message about opening it with my default bittorrent client. No matter if I permit it or not, the netx time I get the same message. It's almost like there are no file-type association preferences. Thats why I want to check the current associations.

Oh, and also, no trace of MIME settings in the Opera help page (and I used the F1 shortcut).
