NTL used to be one of the two main cable companies in the United Kingdom (the other being Telewest).<br />
They merged and were rebranded as Virgin Media quite a few years ago, but there must be many people still using their legacy e-mail addresses.<br />

<p dir="auto">I also see <a href="https://www.getmailspring.com/setup/access-ntlworld-com-via-imap-smtp" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">https://www.getmailspring.com/setup/access-ntlworld-com-via-imap-smtp</a>, which provides the IMAP and SMTP info needed to set up mail clients like <a href="http://www.opera.com/computer/mail" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Opera Mail</a> and <a href="https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Thunderbird</a>.</p>

That feature was eliminated after Opera 12; the stable version is now at Opera 50, though there may be some web pages floating around that still reference the old versions' specs.</p>

<p dir="auto">If you email service provides an webmail page, you can just go there, log in and read your mail. If not then you will need an email client and this is something for another forum.</p>
