1- how do you sort the actual folders in the Bookmarks bar?
Not the contents of the folders, but the actual folders themselves in alphabetical order.

If it's not possible, what is the best workaround? I cannot drag and drop.

2- Is there any way to change the tab colors?
The active tab is black print on a light background. That's okay.

But the inactive tabs are black print on a dark background. Almost impossible to see.
I don't think this is a operating system function.

3- how do you empty / delete the Trash folder? There is no right click, delete option.

Thanks in advance.

The Chrookmarks is exactly what I needed. Works perfectly.

I can live with the tab colors.

The Trash issue was the Folder in Bookmarks called Trash. I'll keep researching that one.

Thanks again.

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chrookmarks-chrome-bookma/kcdheengilgkagjehknnnofigbmlnnfj?hl=en

I know also with Tidy Bookmarks for Chrome you can also sort alphabetically. These two extensions are what is known as bookmark managers. To use a Chrome extension, you need to download the Opera Extension, called, "Download Chrome Extension." Without those extensions, I know how to make alphabetical the items in a folder -- by right clicking on it -- but I'm not sure how you would do that to the folders themselves.

On deleting trash, I assume you mean, history, cookies, passwords, things like that. You go to Settings (Alt P) in the main menu, Privacy and Security, and Clear Browsing Data. I do have a Chrome extension called, Undo Sexy Closed Tab, where you can re-open closed tabs (even do it with an Alt-Z instead of Control Shift T) and also, through that extension you can clear all of the closed tabs.

I'm not sure if you can change the colors. If you have trouble reading the tabs, I suggest you get a manager for tabs. Here's an article that might help. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/10-extensions-chrome-tab-management/
I use TooManyTabs for Chrome, which is not bad ((white on a blue background: I think more readable), but I'm not wedded to anything yet. There are a lot of choices. I think you will be able to read the tabs better with a popup from the right manager. On colors, you can find an extension to change the color of the icon , but I'm not sure that you can change the color of the tab itself. I leave that to others in the forum who might know the answer to that. I don't think you can, but I'm not certain.
