<![CDATA[can't uninstall opera 49]]>i installed opera 50, so naturally, I went to uninstall 49 through the control panel. I found the program, clicked it, and clicked "uninstall," but nothing happened. it didn't freeze, it didn't show the "working" animation on the cursor, it just did nothing, as if I hadn't clicked it. I clicked it multiple times. nothing. restarted the computer, nothing. is there some special secret uninstallation method I'm not aware of? T_T

Windows uninstaller gets confused..lol
do what zalex108 suggested..
but if ya didn't install 50 over 49 then thats a problem with windows *perhaps.. just saying..

Do you have 50 and 49 as installed?

You should try to back up your profile first

  • OMenu > About Opera
    | Follow the profile Path with the Explorer and make a copy.

then try with iObit Uninstaller - from Portableapps.com - and clean any O49 trace.
