Recently I have noticed some issues with plugins. Especially - with flash video (stream in this case).

When I try to open the web page with the Live video stream, is some cases I get the error:

Unknown Protocol
Opera was unable to open the link since no application is associated with "rtmp:" protocol was found on your system.

Link to printscreen:
http://i.imgur.com/SO06qEl.jpg

When I open the same page with Chrome - everything is fine.

Why?!
In older opera I could set the default programs.
I cannot find this in the settings of Opera 20...

but I think this is some other issue?

Browser restart didn't improve much.

The/a video plays fine. It has a transparent element over it, but it is indeed an OBJECT element that loads Adobe flash.

There's a link to rtmp://live.lrtc.lt:80/X8a7MmK/live over the bottom of the flash progress/seek bar. In the element inspector, when I click on the link, I get the same error as you. However, clicking on the link itself in the page doesn't do that. What it looks like is something might be blocking the JS code's interception of your left-click on that link and Opera is navigating to it instead of the JS handing it to adjust the video position.

Do you have an extensions installed in Opera?

There may be a player written in Flash that can handle a given protocol, but your web browser will not know it. Same for any other plug-in. If a player is not already loaded, the browser will ask Windows what program is listed for that protocol.

No!, you meant RTSP, RTMP is a streaming protocol made by Adobe for delivering content to Flash player!

Yes, VLC can play RTMP protocol. But i dont know if the VLC plugin can handle it internally. I remember you can open RTMP only in external VLC player.

Opera Blink will use the default program for that protocol, set in your OS.

Note that sometimes (for the "Feed" protocol for example), you have to add the protocol to "excluded_schemes" in the "Local State" file in the roaming profile directory to get Opera to pass on to the default handler.
