Under Linux Mint 18.3 (and all versions back to a least 17), every version of Opera I've used (including the latest 49.0.2725.56) fails either to remember its screen size and position or to allow the user to save/set them. Is there a fix for this extremely irritating problem ?

If it helps, you can launch it with the --start-maximized parameter. I would post a link to a similar thread, but search does not help me find what I want.
