Opera processes running (Cold Start)

When I start Opera from a cold start, the task manager shows 12 "opera.exe * 32" processes running. Is this normal?

A clean install has this processes:

Then depending on how many tabs and extensions you have it will increase.

Check what is what from Shift + Esc - you may need to enable it from Menu > Developer > Tools -.

yes, it can be if you have many extensions and/or tabs opened since Opera, like any other Chromium based browser, opens a different process for any different thing like tabs, extensions, etc. Check Opera's task manager to see what those opened processes are.
