<p dir="auto">It seems the adblock plus extension is allowing the videos to autoplay. Unfortunately, adblock is pretty much the most essential extension to have an acceptable web browsing experience, so disabling it doesn't seem to be a good solution. I'll send them a message to see if they can help.</p>

I find it incredible at the end of 2017 we have to manually stop videos from autoplaying - every time we visit a different page on the guilty websites. They suck up bandwidth and annoy just like the animated ads used to do before we disabled them.</p>
