<p dir="auto">I have spent many hours over many days trying to figure out why magnet links didn't work at The Pirate Bay website. I have figured it out, and I want to share my findings.</p>
<p dir="auto">To examine the link, I launched the <a href="http://help.opera.com/opera/Windows/2393/en/advanced.html#developerTools" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Developer Tools</a> (ctrl + shift + i) and clicked the Select an Element (ctrl + shift + c) button. At The Pirate Bay website, I tried to click the "GET THIS TORRENT" link.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>The Problem</strong><br />
The link is partially covered by an invisible iFrame:</p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/assets/uploads/files/1510557428820-pirate.png" alt="0_1510557427939_Pirate.png" class=" img-responsive img-markdown" /></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>Cause</strong><br />
The Pirate Bay website. Also, for some reason it only surfaces when using Opera's rendering engine (<a href="http://www.chromium.org/blink" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Blink</a>). It doesn't affect Chrome.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>Work-Around</strong><br />
Click on the part of the link that is showing ("...RENT").</p>
<p dir="auto">I'm using Opera 49.0. I hope this helps.</p>
<p dir="auto">Shane.</p>

It's not an adblocker problem.</p>
<p dir="auto">If you view the source of the page (ctrl + u), you will see this line:</p>
<p dir="auto">&lt;iframe src="<a href="//thepiratebay.org/static/si0Eim0u/exo_na/sky1.html">//thepiratebay.org/static/si0Eim0u/exo_na/sky1.html</a>" width="120" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;</p>
<p dir="auto">This is the line that is causing the problem.</p>

<p dir="auto"><a class="plugin-mentions-user plugin-mentions-a" href="https://forums.opera.com/uid/40432">@cshane</a> Apparently they don't like Opera's ad-blocker, as Chrome also uses Blink.</p>

<p dir="auto">i don't think it's a adblocker problem cause i have both the opera and "ublock plus adblock".</p>
