I had my emails and contacts in opera.
The email (imap) that i was checking was dead for over a year because i did not use it.
The opera mail was unable to sync.
Everything was good.

Now i revived the email online in the same server but now the online version was empty. my idea was to be able to check the same email in this computer where i had all may email (old ones).

I logged in with the credentials and pufff, all email was gone, along with my contacts (old).
The account was synced one sided and now i have the empty opera on my computer.
Opera deleted those emails in the sync, can i get it back?

i have no idea where they were stored. or if they are in the trash been. Just in case, i have not deleted anything.

Please help!

I tought i would be able to find them in the trash or something....

Tough luck.... I'm swapping to pop3, less risk there

You could try resetting your system to an previous state (not sure if Mac has such option) but it would affect everything on it so you would need to see if doing it worth the potential problems.

On IMAP your emails are stored on the server and the email client shows what's in there, so Opera is showing nothing as it should.

You can try seeing if there are still copies of the messages in the mail directory and try to import them.
