[Solved] bookmarks suggested in address bar don't show up in bookmarks manager

When I type letters into the address bar I will see an icon to the left of the dropdown list of suggestions. It may be a history icon or a heart icon or a speed dial icon.
If I see something with a heart icon I can go to my bookmarks (opera:bookmarks) and search for the address of the article to see where it was located in my bookmarks, but it does not always show up when I search for it.
Is there a reason why this might be? Could it be a book mark suggestion or a false positive or in a Opera 12.00 and earlier version of my bookmarks or maybe I am searching incorrectly? I am copying and pasting the address (with the heart icon to the left) into the search bar of the bookmarks page, but the result does not come up, but it always shows up when I type in those few characters of a particular address.
Any ideas?

Yes! That is exactly where they were! It appears that deleted bookmarks do appear as a suggestion in your address bar. After I emptied my trash they stopped showing up. That had been driving me crazy for a while. Much appreciated, thank you
