<![CDATA[Personal News Hanging After Reecent Update]]>OS : Linux Mint 18.x, Linux Mint 17.x

Update stream: Stable
System: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS (x86_64; MATE)

This is a recent occurrence and I haven't found it listed yet in the forums. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Since one of the last updates personal news has been stalling or not loading at all. I'm seeing this on different PC's that I've tried. What I'm seeing is when I select Personal News it sometimes loads a few articles and them stalls and sometimes it stalls before loading any articles. The behavior looks like some sort of a connectivity problem, but speed test are coming back good and when I ping there is no packet loss. Also I am seeing this same behavior at home and at work. Clearing the cache doesn't seem to have any effect.
It's also possible that it's related to one of the news sources, but if that's the case I haven't been able to determine which one. If I remove most of the new sources it seems to improve the situation but if I re-add them the issue returns.

Has anyone else seen this and / or any suggestions?

New York Times and MotherJones.com do not seem to display anything.
BBC, Discovery, Engaget, Huffington Post, Rolling Sone and numerous other news sources work fine
