Sync broken on iOS?

I can not Log in to sync my account on my iPad. If I go into settings and try to login I get a connection error. If I go to my account in a browser tab, I can login fine. What the heck is going on??

People are reporting the same thing in Android, but I haven't seen an official reply yet.
