<![CDATA[Using google.com instead of google.xx]]>I have been big fan Opera from year 2000 (Version 5.0). It has been my default browser since then. However due to limitations on certain web sites I was also using IE and then Chrome.

I have now installed Opera Next 21.0.1432.39. Although many features of Opera 12 are missing but I have made Opera 21 as my default browser and am happy (though not fully) with it.

One of the main feature which I miss is to use google.com as my default search engine instead of country specific (google.xx) google search.

I could change to google.com in Opera 12 as well as in Chrome but I couldn't find any way to change the default to google.com instead of google.co.in. I have deleted all cookies and used google.com/ncr but to no avail. There is no way to edit the listed default browsers.

I was able to add google.com as an additional search engine but there is no way to make it as default.

Any help in this respect will be appreciated.

I worked it out for someone in the old forum, fortunately someone quoted it recently so I don't have to dig it up again ...
