Saw a few posts where people are expecting the mail client to be abandoned, but didn't see any responses from the development team.</p>
<p dir="auto">Dumping Mozilla products and looking for a Thunderbird replacement, but don't want to start heading down a dead end.</p>

They have a large community driving that open-source program so its future is assured. The same cannot be said for Opera mail. It's an unknown at this stage.</p>
