Opera not saving passwords

The pop-up comes up and I ask it to save but it never does. Not for any web page. I used this feature successfully in the past but Best Buy reset my computer when it was in repair and I had to reload Opera and it has not worked since. If I go to the settings, it says I have all the right settings selected (autofill, ask to save PW, etc.) but there are no stored passwords despite the many times I have selected "Save" when it asks.
I have 45.0.2552.898 (PGO) and Windows 8.1 64 bit.

I have a similar problem. I switched from Chrome to Opera a couple of weeks ago. Opera imported my saved passwords from Chrome just fine, but has never saved nor asked to save my passwords since then. It also doesn't update saved passwords when I change them. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this, but nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks.
I'm running Opera 46.0.2597.46 (PGO), Windows 7 64-bit. -

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps. I have passphrases for work and they are too long to type in every single time.

Well that seems to have fixed it but I have only tried with one site. The saved password is showing up in the stored password location for now.
