<![CDATA[Opera 46 and 42 running painfully slow.]]>Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with Avast anti-virus (version 17.5.2302) making Opera browser (version 46.0.2597.39) run extremely slow.
I'm not knocking Avast, after all I am using the free version and I know glitches can crop up occasionally when you're dealing with computers and the Internet etc.
I have given Avast the heads-up on this.

After trying suggestions from here (thank you), the only way I could bring back the fast operating speed of Opera was to uninstall Avast A/V. I did carry out a reinstallation of Avast A/V, but this just brought the problem back. The same problem also applies on another PC which is running Opera (version 42.0.2393.517).

Other browsers, Firefox, Edge, Internet Explorer and Nitro are not affected.

I'm running a desk top pc with O/S Windows 10 Home 64bit, AMD A8-5500 CPU and 8GB DDR3 RAM.

Is there anybody else having the same problem who are using Windows 10 Home 64bit and Avast A/V?
If so have you worked out a temporary solution?
