When I first entered the address xyz.opera.tld in Opera, I have been redirected to abc.domain.tld. I thought that the DNS issue would resolve itself by the end of TTL, but it did not. Today I am still forwarded to abc.domain.tld, whenever I enter xyz.domain.tld. All other browsers behave correctly, it also works when I enter xyz.domain.tld/some/path - but the main site is still redirected.

I thought that something might be wrong with Opera's DNS cache, jumped to opera://net-internals/#dns and cleared everything - the problem remains. I tried also to delete cookies and other caches (at least the ones I were able to find) - nothing.

What can I do to really force Opera to "stay" on xyz.domain.tld?

the issue is that they bake DNS information into the URL autocomplete list. It's solved by deleting old entries: type out the URL so the autocomplete entries appear, then hover over them so an X appears at the right end, then click on the Xs to delete all those entries. When you're done, Opera will open the new host correctly without even restarting.

And yes, I have just reported this bug to the developers.
