Buddy, i had to face the same issue when I was in the US BBC iplayer was not working because without VPN it is not possible to watch BBC iplayer abroad, but I don't know which country you are living if you are in the UK than its a problem of your browser.

BBC have changed their iplayer and now I can only access via Chrome instead of Opera.

Maybe you can try an extension to fale Chrome's user agent.

Noticed quite a few functions on various websites not working since upgrade to new OPera version.
