You closed my thread before I had a chance to ask for a link to the similar posted thread and/or to ask what the fix is.

The Issue Again: The new version update was installed on Thurs morning, the browser was relaunched, and the computer was rebooted.

When the browser is opened, the icon is displayed on the taskbar but the icon remains even when the browser is closed. I right-clicked the icon and selected 'unpin the program from taskbar' and opened the browser again but the icon remains.

I checked the Settings but there is no option under 'Startup' to remove the taskbar icon after closing the browser.

Any else have this issue and what is the fix?
