<![CDATA[Unread count in pinned tab]]>I would love to have an unread count in a pinned tab--when I get a new email, instead of just the Gmail favicon, to have the favicon followed by (1). that way, I would know whenever I got a new email, and wouldn't need an extension that notifies me. I suppose this would also go for pinned tabs that were for RSS readers as well....

I'm finding that I use my email so much, even with a checker/notifier extension, I just keep a pinned tab open all the time. Having this additional ability would allow me to delete an extension.

You have to go into the Settings and then look at the Labs. They have a lab called something like Unread Count or something like that. That way, i really don't need a notifier extension at all. Nice.
