I'd like to ask if somebody would be kind enough to help me. I've a few number of e-mail accounts set up in Opera Mail using the IMAP protocol with thousands of messages in inbox and sent folders.

I'd like to know if there's a way to remove them from the IMAP server but not from Opera Mail. If it helps in anyway, I'm using the stand-alone version of Opera Mail with the Stand-alone (USB) installation installed. Hopefully, it'll be developed again once Opera Blink development's in an advanced stage.

Please note that the e-mail accounts are private e-mail addresses on my own domain, not e-mail accounts from webmail services like GMail, Outlook.com or Yahoo! Mail. Thanks!

Let be more clear about it as i think that my last reply may be kinda confusing.

The imap folders will be kept on the server and you will be able to access them. What i meant was that the messages that were saved locally will not be on their original folders because they will need to be imported into a Ifake) pop account.

You will need to use labels if you want to sort those messages.

Other option would be to save each message as an .mbs file and use an text editor to read them (or even import into Opoera Mail) when needed.

The e-mail accounts are accessed through multiple platform (PC, mobile, tablet) so losing the IMAP folders would be problematic.

Opera can only import to a pop account afaik so you'll loose your imap folders in the process.
