For those of you NOT experiencing problems, do this. Save Opera to another folder and start fresh. Look at all the problems, then get back to me.
I could post the full list of bugs I reported in the bug report wizard for Opera Blink, I could also post the full list of Opera Presto bugs I reported. That'd be of no use, it's not me who must post about the issue(s) (and it doesn't really belong to this thread).

Nobody wants Chropera.
Yeah, nobody wants it. The major part of the Opera desktop user base is on the new Chromium-based Opera vs. the old Presto-based Opera (Q4 2013 presentation PDF), but it doesn't matter because you have the truth.

Because rafaelluik is having no problems, that must mean that you're not either, zzpat. That's how it works in the minds of the rabid Opera defenders on here, lol.
If he has an issue, there's a need to troubleshoot it. What I saying is if I can't reproduce the issue, he needs to check something on his system that is different than in mine. After he does that and tells me what issue it is, then we can make conclusions.

Mind you, rafaelluik used to make posts on here about how Chrome's rendering engine sucks and isn't as good as Presto
Yes, years ago, but time passes and things change, mind you... Opera-Presto is terrible for "heavy" pages, while the new Opera using the Chromium engines handles the same pages just fine in the same computer.

how other browsers force you to use extensions while Opera has everything you need
I still don't use any extensions in the new Opera, though I tested and reviewed some in the catalog but from 15 to newer versions some behaviors changed so I don't need them. Point to be taken: even if I use 1 or 2, I'd need a lot more to replicate Opera's features and behaviors in other browsers.

Doing otherwise seems like a waste of my time. I'm having problems. I'm a new user and I have decades of experience using almost every major browser ever created (from alpha to beta to stable releases). I beta tested the very first versions of Chrome....long before 1.0. So I kinda know what I'm doing.

The lack of bookmarks was a huge blow to the way I normally browse since it's what I've alway done but I have to admit I like the speed dial feature which is far better than Chrome. Chrome decides what's on that page, not me. I can edit the page at will, but I can't do that on Chrome anymore. It's what I want in a browser...total control over what it does. Chrome is no longer that browser.

Mind you, rafaelluik used to make posts on here about how Chrome's rendering engine sucks and isn't as good as Presto, and how other browsers force you to use extensions while Opera has everything you need, so it's never worth paying attention to anything he says. If Opera decided to only allow you to view Facebook in their browser and no other websites, he'd probably tell you that you should only be using Facebook anyway, haha.

Most of us read them weeks ago and thrashed them about in the other forum. What Von Tetzchner thinks is pretty much irrelevant in regards to today's Opera. His opinion is one of many. Naturally being forced out of his company, he is not going to like what the browser has become. That's to be expected.
