I hate computers</p>
<p dir="auto">finally I was able to update to opera 44.02.25 stable on my LINUX machine</p>
<p dir="auto">that allowed me to synch <img src="https://forums.opera.com/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/emoji-one/1f642.png?v=qqje97jok90" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-emoji-one emoji--slightly_smiling_face" title=":)" alt="🙂" /></p>
<p dir="auto">and copy my bookmarks</p>
<p dir="auto">so they desired effect has been achieved after 4 weeks of frustration!!!</p>
<p dir="auto">the beauty of opera is your can SYNCH and keep bookmarks and speed dials <img src="https://forums.opera.com/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/emoji-one/1f642.png?v=qqje97jok90" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-emoji-one emoji--slightly_smiling_face" title=":)" alt="🙂" /></p>
<p dir="auto">now using clonzilla i can clone the drive for future safetykeeping in about 15 mins</p>

<p dir="auto">I have opera on (2) computers; 1 a PC, and 1 on a laptop running linux</p>
<p dir="auto">I used a previous version (backup) on linux ( from an ealier time), and was able to login synch on the opera on my linux PC.</p>
<p dir="auto">it still would don't synch, and crashed immediately and restarted opera, crashed, etc</p>
<p dir="auto">this the the issue</p>
<p dir="auto">either opera crashes, and restarts, and crashes</p>
<p dir="auto">OR</p>
<p dir="auto">I can use a current version on linux (more recent) and I can't login to synch</p>
