<![CDATA[Click To Play For Animated Gifs, Please...]]>Animated gifs just kills performance a lot... So a click to play feature would be very welcome..

Tried several extensions but none of them works as expected.

Ideally it should prevent the gif from download unless I click it to play..

Maybe they are changed behavior; I have no fb account to check.

I would like option to disable gif animation too. For me, first frame could be displayed - no big problem.

And I would like some option to disable any media content autoplay, be it plugins (possible currently) ot HTML5 content (can't blocked).

On dedicated media pages it might depend. Well, streams did autoplay last time I occurred there.

I've tested the extension and it works.

I tried that extension before, but it sucks because it still downloads the GIFs in the background.... What it's really doing is just hiding from the page...

We need a true blocker....

It would be nice if we had a way to stop any automatic media play.
And web pages authors could understand that not everyone likes media to start playing automatically.

Yep... That's why I hate instagram on the phone...

Facebook devs do.
