but no way to import bookmarks. The files seem to be required in the restricted access part of
Windows. I can use Ztree to move a file anywhere but there. Any ideas? TIA

Thanks for your responses. The link to other discussion was too esoteric for me and maybe not related to Windows 7.
Also, I don't see or understand "profile folder or directory". Bookmarks.adr is easily accessible in Win XP in the
Documents and Settings folder but not under Win 7 where it has to go. My Win 7 copy is OEM so no migration is allowed.
I paid $40 for my first copy of Opera roughly 20 years ago and hate to lose using it. The Oxport program was great for
standardizing bookmarks and contacts for other browsers. Then I have Ztree for getting around most Microsoft road blocks
except for the "access denied" thing. I have used it even to edit a file in Hex. It shows up all the hidden things.
I could continue to use WinXP but it has already collected some malware (Adware)that cannot be gotten rid of. Win7
does not allow it to load. If anyone thinks of another possible solution, I would be thankful for a response.

For more details, please have a look here.

You can try an extension or open the html file in Opera ans add each link manually.
