Could you please tell me how to configure Opera so it opens PNG files inside browser rather then saving them on disk?

It may the site sending wrong information to Opera.

I presume there is no fix for that, is there?

This is regards to (at the moment): Opera 43.0.2442.806 (PGO)

I does not seem to change anything. Even when I install portable version (clean, fresh install) it does not open .png files but saves them.

Are you talking about Opera Blink? 15< version?
You should back up and reset the profile since no option to "always save" nor forget "that kind of option".

Do you have any download helper extension? Maybe it's the who modifies the behavior.

If need to Back up and Reset the profile:

Use Opera Sync:

Then:

  • OMenu > About Opera > Path >> Profile

  • Close Opera

Go there with Windows Explorer | Win + R > %AppData% | Back up and Rename

Then just open Opera again and check.
