It worked, but when I opened a link (from notepad, Pdf, docx ..v.v..), It'll open new Opera window with the default settings (Profile and Cache folder in C:\ ), and because It not use my custom Profile folder, the new Opera Window won't have all my settings (bookmarks, extensions ....)

So, I think It'll better if we have a option in Setting, to change the default Profile and Cache directory.

As a workaround in Opera installation folder > installer_prefs you have to change:

"singleprofile":False to "singleprofile":True

It's a .Json file and may be edit with notepad.
Then, it will create a new profile pointing to Data in Opera Installation folder and every link will be opened with it, as a default Profile folder.
This works pretty nicely. Do you know if it will stay set that way when Opera updates itself?

Yes, it will be since it's the same parameters for Opera USB installation, just keep your mod shortcuts save and keep in mind, if u use a default Opera shorcut it will create/use a profile inside Opera Installation.

Opera has if not all, many of Chrome Cmd commands, maybe there is something to put a psswd, but to use many profiles it could be as you do it using | -user-data-dir=

If need protection on a profile you may create a new profile with it's own shortcut. It's not a pssdw but depending on the type of users could be enough.

Check if need it: https://goo.gl/wqGVms

I also go around with the Portable version of Opera, and I see they've done the same : edit the installer_prefs.json , change the single_profile field to true. Thanks again for your answer.

With Firefox, and can create new User and custom the Profile folder with cmd firefox.exe -p, create a MasterPassword for each account (in cases there're more than one people using that PC), hope Opera will have that feature someday

If you have moved the profile to another drive as posted in another discussion, the trick will not work as default to open your custom profile, maybe could be another trick to add to point to another profile but you can copy your profile to Data folder "Default Opera single profile folder.

If this is not the point, try with a (Symlink) Symbolic Link, working as a Real Folder but being like a Shortcut.

You may use Symbolic Link Creator, easy to use

https://sourceforge.net/projects/symlink-creator/

Also, to work with: http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html
