Today I just noticed that my Bookmark Importer link was no longer greyed out. This opened up a page, that volunteered to import the only group of bookmarks in this Other Bookmarks folder, into a Speed Dial folder. I think I'll try this, but first, I have to push all of my bookmarks that I've imported in Opera's own Bookmark Manager extension, into this Other folder, so Opera's Bookmark Importer can detect it, and then move it into a Speed dial folder.

Where is this "Other Bookmark" folder? And any tips on how to move bookmarks there? I do have the Opera Bookmarks Manager extension, as well as Tidy Bookmarks extension, installed.

I remembered a solution provided by some other poster here struggling to deal with the mutilation of the bookmarks functionality--I just saved my bookmarks to an html file, then created a speed dial entry for it. Now, I simply open a up a group of bookmarks, then right click and save as a speed dial folder.

Now that I see them, i actually like them better than a pile of links. Now I think I see what the guy meant in that "Ctrl+Z for Ctrl+D" blog post when O15 came out. I can get into this, but it was a heck of a bumpy journey.

There were a couple of other files that were entitled "Bookmarks," but they didn't have anything that i recognized.
