I've been trying to do things on our TV, Hisense, for two years and quite frankly the App store is brutally lacking. The very few apps that are available I've never even heard of and are useless for what I want anyway and it's shown absolutely no signs of change.

So can someone tell me if I need to get a chromecast, or something similar in order to actually use my smart TV properly? Or is there any chance that they are going to pick up their game?
