Also note, they are using an external program compiled from an AutoHotkey script - without that program, it presumably won't work.

I use mnemonic shortcuts constantly in Opera 11.64.

F, T, P = Launch FTP Commander
P, P, 7 = Launch PagePlus X7
T, D = Launch ToDo.txt in Notepad2, etc.

I launch other browsers using a custom menu instead of the default Open with menu, which doesn't detect USB installations.

You might be able to bookmark a mailto link, but then you'd have to close the Compose window opened by the link.
