from time to time I want to see if there is an update for Opera. But 'opera : //about/' sometimes work, sometimes not. At the moment ...

... not.

Am I the only opera user having this "problem"?

it might be your firewall that blocks the connection to the update server without telling you

Did you try to download and run the offline installer?

just instelled the stand alone version – of course the newest. And opened the "about opera" menu of my desktop version »46.0.2597.26 (PGO)«:

USB version: 46.0.2597.32 (PGO)

But, ok, I will survive this problem...

But it would be nicer, if this feature just works... Since several versions there is the problem that only the message appears "searching for updates" without an end...

... but, hey, now – maybe after few restarts of Opera – the message »Opera ist auf dem neuesten Stand« appears.
