Non-admin (unprivileged) users were unable to install updates. A dialog would appear asking for an administrative password which would then disappear after a second without waiting for user input.

The vast majority of users on OS X is running as administrators (the default setup) and would not have this problem.

To resolve this problem, please download Opera manually from our website and reinstall it. You will not loose any settings or data by reinstalling. Further updates should now be installed automatically.

We apologize to any affected users.
