No other browser app including Chrome (yuck btw) took over all of my links and default file types without first ASKING.</p>

Next time, click on Options and make sure what the program will do.</p>

Aside from opening web pages, there's nothing else I imagine it would be opening by default. And you can easily set one of your other browsers as default, if that's what you want.</p>
