I have not been disappointed except I find that it renders some text very poorly, to the extent that I have to make a real effort to read, for example, my emails. In this respect it compares very poorly to IE and Firefox.
I have not yet found how to adjust the font on Opera, but find it difficult to believe that the community of Opera users can tolerate the thin, rather grey looking text that I am experiencing on many websites.
Any advice?

You can also try changing fonts in Opera settings.

If it doesn't help, try disabling hardware acceleration.
