How to Change Opera's Speed Dial Search Engine For Version 40+

Hi, I notice the opera browser in one of my macs use Baidu.com as its default search engine on the speed dial while the default search engine is set to Google. (Nope, I am not in China and I don't have a Chinese OS) I like to change it to Google like how it is by default on my other mac (set up at the same time side by side).
P.S. this is a weird bug.

Are you sure your preference region is not set to Chinese? It's the only way when sped dial's search engine could be set to baidu.

You could delete the file "Local State" and see if Opera determines your location correctly this time. Altenatively you could edit the file in a text editor to the correct location.
Yeah I did that. It was a very strange bug.

"WAS?" Did deleting "Local State" fix it?
I'm still not convinced this is a bug. Have you checked your preference region selection?

I just noticed that this says it's my first post. How that is possible is beyond me. I've posted more than 22,000 comments to the Opera forum in the last decade and half (maybe longer).

I think I manually switched it to the US. Another computer the location was registered at JP. I think there should be a menu option to allow users to change it.
