first off I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong section.
and here's my problem
I have old opera 12 (presto) installed on my machine.
I have new opera 18 installed on my machine.
My bookmarks are perfectly synced and can be found at opera link.
But when I try to use bookmark importer to import my bookmarks from opera link to the QAB I can't see any of my bookmarks in there. The only one link I see of is the link to bing. Which I never ever bookmarked.

any idea what the problem may be ?
is it because in my program files > opera folder I have my opera 12 located and also there are two subfolders 1 from opera 18 and one for opera 17. Is 17 causing some conflict in profiles ?

the folder for opera 18 is in appdata/roaming/opera software
and for opera12 it is appdata/roaming/opera

and both are 32 bit.

so I still don't get it that why is opera 18 not reading through the old profile.
and where is that one single bookmark of bing.com coming from ?

I think if I can find the location of that bing bookmark I may find the source of trouble.

The other way - telling it where to import your profile from - will force the new Opera to replace its existing profile (any settings you've made since installing) and thus is not desirable if you've had the new version for long ...

So how do I point the importer to find my 64-bit opera ?
(Sorry if it's a lame question but I can do with some guidance on this.)

Was Opera 12 64-bit? The importer only really looks for 32-bit Opera, and has to be told where to find 64-bit Opera.

Moved to Opera Browser.
