I'm using opera 38.0 for windows. I'm a big fan of the search engine keyword feature - type g for google, w for wikipedia, etc. I've been adding my own and it's really helpful. My only problem is, I wish to add a keyword for youtube - obviously "y" would be my choice of keyword - but I can't, because apparently there's a default "yahoo" search engine set, and I can't remove it or change it's keyword. Is there no way to use "y" as the keyword for a custom search engine ?

Thank you very much

There should be a few already there.

I've been trying to search for another topic on that through the search box on this forum but as soon as I enter something with a blank space it just sends me back to the index of the forum

Yep, it's an old issue. You can use an external search engine to search the forums for now.

Nope and it's a discussion for the Suggestion Box, where you can show your support for that change request.

You have to edit files and copy them around. I don't remember the exact instructions as its been awhile since I last did it. For a long time I just used 'yy' for YouTube. That will get you working until someone can chime in with a proper link to the difficult solution.
