<![CDATA[Android notifications]]>How do I switch these off? I have suddenly started to receive these "hints and tips" but can't find any setting to switch these off.

Go to Settings, Site Settings and disable it. If somehow you enabled it in the first place.

Opera was not active and yes, I check my device for malware constantly. I'm not a 'daft' mobile user. My phone has no games, no gambling apps, no hacked or pirated software.

Facebook itself is on a lengthy list of disabled apps where various American billionaires have decreed they can't be uninstalled from MY device.

Why the Facebook ad? On an Opera notification no less.

Check in 'Sites Preferences' if you didn't accepted Facebook notifications by chance.

In this case there may be something very wrong. As i said, i never saw Opera for Android showing notifications, even less with ads.

Have you checked your device for malware?

I never saw such kind of notification related to Opera for Android. Those are site are site specific or general Opera ones?
