Is there a way in Opera to prevent GIFs from being downloaded (at least, until I click on something that causes it to be downloaded)? GIFs are on the rise again, but unfortunately GIFs are no longer small. It's not uncommon to see 20 MB, 50 MB or 100 MB GIFs that are essentially short movies converted to GIF. These GIFs really slow down the browser.

I see two extensions in Chrome (that work in Opera) but both require permission to access all your data on all web sites.
