<![CDATA[Opera 37 released]]>We’re happy to release an update for Opera for Android, and what a packed release it is!

  • There’s an option to block ads in the Data savings settings, so you can save even more data.
  • We’ve added support for web push notifications, an emerging standard that is part of the stack of technologies powering progressive web apps. You can try it out on Facebook or New Scientist.
  • To give you control over what device APIs websites can access and what they can’t, we’ve added a dedicated “Site settings” section.
  • Multi-window mode is now supported. On Samsung tablets, you can start using this feature right away. Otherwise, it will come in handy when you upgrade to Android N.
  • We’ve improved the display of website icons on Speed Dial.
  • And last but not least, we’ve upgraded Chromium to 50.

Please design opera to save page in memory card and open it from there using opera-the same way as you do in opera for java.

Please do that it will be enormously helpfull.

Reloading not from the cache would be nice for this matter, please look into it.

bookmarking pain: the very easy '+' button is gone, making quick bookmarking a very long process, the only possible way I found to bookmark is enter the 'bookmark' section, choose New Bookmark, and than, manually (???) enter in the web address?? You can click on share icon in the bottombar (2nd icon from the left) and add to bookmarks

  • tabs: same as all above comments, less choice is rarely good when it comes to 'classics', and tabs have been around for 20-30 years(?)

  • no more Speed Dial: the best thing about Opera (or mini version), total control over arranging bookmarks, but now seems to be a copy of Chrome/Chromium (on which it is based), no way of deleting the 'pushed' bookmark suggestions at the top (seems to be just a 'recent' bookmarks list, unorganized, and, of little help to those that clear the browser cache frequently (typically 1/day))
    note: I don't use feeds of any type on any browsers so getting 'around' these are just extra 'clicks/touches'.

In "normal" mode, no problem.

Anything can happen. Just be corrected soon. Often freezes in the 37th version of the switch. Even now, while there wrote, I wanted to switch to the next tab, and then again had to restart the browser

I guess it's easier to maintain the ad-blocker list if it's on their servers.
