<p dir="auto">Opera 12.x uses flash plugin for that, with newer Opera it's html5 video.</p>

<p dir="auto">Yeah, it was due the "disable html5 autoplay" extension. Didn't realise it first, since there's no controls in the video- playback bar etc. And i keep the extension icon hidden.</p>

To allow plugin content to run immediately Opera would have to pay the patent owners.</p>
<p dir="auto">I'm not sure but i guess that patent is no longer valid nowadays but since Presto stopped being developer, the restriction was never removed.</p>
