I have an issue with my Opera when it comes to using the integrated viewer to display big PDF files like this one:
http://www.mindazur.org/uploads/media_items/min-d-azur-rapport-2014.original.pdf

"Big" here just means a 3 Mb file.

Opera does not display anything when I try to view it... it works fine in IE and firefox, not in Opera.

Thanks

After saved to disk, can be opened in Opera without problem. No third-party antivirus or similar cr*p here, Win Defender is active. Opera dev version.

Looking at traffic with fiddler, it seems that Opera requests PDF both in full (first request) and then in chunks and somehow it doesn't do it properly, at least server thinks so:

(part of Opera second request)
Range: bytes=3014656-3343126

(server response)
416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable

Looks like bug. I don't think that this behavior depends on PDF size (I just lately looked at quite big PDFs - 11MB or so, although performance was very poor), but on some server handling nuances of Opera requests.

It only happens with big pdf. Smaller pdf work just fine.

What do you mean by big PDF?

Do you use any anti-virus, specially one of those that scans the internet traffic?

Yes but I didn't know you could open a downloaded pdf in Opera

If you just say integrated pdf reader without mentioning which one, people will think that you are talking about the Opera's one.

so, if the issue is not the integrated reader, this is the way Opera downloads the pdf that fails?

I would say a problem accessing it. Even a third part program interfering.

Does it happens with other pdfs in other pages?

I always use the integrated pdf readers from a link on internet. I guess it downloads it in a temp folder.

Though this is strange that Opera is unable to get this pdf, when IE or firefox manages to do that... so, if the issue is not the integrated reader, this is the way Opera downloads the pdf that fails?

Opera has an integrated PDF reader. Isn't it the subject of your topic?

It happens to other pages too when the pdf file is too big. And only in Opera, not in firefox or IE...

If we can open it in Opera's PDF reader after have downloaded the file, how can the problem be the reader?

BTW, does it happens on other pages?

Just that the pdf does not appear in the browser.
With firefox it works perfectly.
I would really love to find a workaround to avoid having to use both firefox and opera

Yes, sane here. However i can open the PDF if i download it, so the problem most probably isn't the reader.

Same for me also in Opera stable, beta and developer
