My Opera Installation is from developer stream so i will post my question in developer category of this forum, although i think it is a problem, which can be present in the stable channel too.

I'm using many chrome extensions. I'm able to install extensions directly from chrome webstore because i have installed "Download Chrome Extensions" from Opera Extensions store:

https://addons.opera.com/de/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en

And now i have an extension i installed from Chrome webstore which should be visible beside the addressbar as other extension do.

But i don't get it managed that the extension will show up. In chrome it works pretty god.

Is there anything i can check where the problem can be? Or is there anything i can look in the extension folder itself where i can see, why it doesn't show up?

Thanks in advance!

Regards
Daimonion

if not, you won't see it in Opera, but you will in Chrome

This is something that was changed recently in Chrome
All extensions are listed on toolbar, and then it's up to users to hide those extensions inside hamburger menu or not.

This creates many confusions and problems, for instance with pageAction icons (those that were inside address bar), because in this case, they are always visible or always hidden, and that breaks functionality

Luckily, Opera didn't implement that.

So, maybe your extension doesn't have (functional) toolbar icon at all, or maybe it is designed to be pageAction (and you see it in Chrome all the time)

.... or maybe that extension is specifically designed for Chrome, usually extensions from Google developers linked to some of the Google services

can you link (or name it) that non-working extension so that we can test it?
