The way I understand it is the opera turbo processes everything thorough their server, so I wonder how ad block is implemented? I also wonder how much more data is saved with having turbo on plus adblock, as opposed to just turbo. one of the reasons to block ads is to save data

Nope, there's nothing about adblocker on Opera for Android nor in which version it would be implemented.

On Mini, ads are blocked by the servers since all traffic goes through them.
For Opera for Android it would need to be implemented in the browser and be performed locally.

I suppose because of the different engines they are based on. Ad blocking will be in opera 37 but it will take 2 months until they promote it to stable, which indeed sucks

I can't decide, which one to use.
The opera has the forced zoom and working text wrapping, the mini has its adblock and the automatically hiding bottom bar.
Put the functions of both in one, and you'll get the best browser for android!!!

Why there is not an ad blocker in Opera beta? In Opera Mini beta there is one.

Because it wasn't implemented yet.

Remember that Opera for Android and Opera Mini for Android are different products, so they don't necessarily share the same features and even if the case, they may not be implemented at a same time.
