<![CDATA[Opera Mail]]>When I respond to emails, they are automatically shown in very small font (html) mode. How can I increase the font size? I have tried all the settings, and still no effect.

If you're replying in HTML mode, the insertion point for what you type will inherit the styles of the original message you're replying to. Doing that little trick should set the insertion point outside/above those styles so that Opera can honor what fonts you set.

Then, hit backspace a few times. Then, hit enter a few times. Then, hit ctrl + home again and start typing. Does it work then?
