in the time between my last post and now, they fixed the problem. The onscreen keyboard was appearing by touching any textfield. But today my Opera updated to version 38.0.2220.29 and now this very nice feature is gone again... Why?

There is a workaround https://forums.opera.com/post/96379 but this only works if i start opera from desktop, not if start it from taskbar...

The on-screen keyboard has worked perfectly in previous versions of Opera. It's only now, with V36 that it does not automatically pop up anymore. I hope it is not a deliberate change. After all, V36 was meant to be more touch-friendly (wider spacings etc.). Has anyone issued a bug report?
